Kaiyuan’ patented dissolvable alloys, Kaiyuan™, provide reliable dissolution rates with a variety of fluids, temperatures, and pressures. Fresh water or brine; delayed or triggered coatings; high strength, hardness or ductility; low/high temperatures – we offer a variety of products to meet your needs. Kaiyuan™ is available in solid and tubular forms as well as fully-machined components.
Dissolvable Polymers
Kaiyuan™ is a family of patent-pending high-performance, moldable and machinable elastomer that is designed to fragment and dissolve into tiny particles after exposure to downhole brine solution at a variety of temperatures and pressures. Kaiyuan™ DE50 is available today in a variety of sizes and can be machined to print.
Water Preservation
Terves is developing a family of products that preserves and reduces the need for water in fracking operations. Kaiyuan™ is a proprietary self-dispersing reflective buoyant coating designed to mitigate water evaporation from storage ponds at well sites. It reflects sunlight and heat; dramatically reducing evaporation. Our Kaiyuan™ zero-valent magnesium treats wastewater to eliminate contaminants.
Proppants
kaiyuan’ Proppants offer specific functionality based on change in environment, including passage of time, change in temp./pressure, and/or chemical agents. Our in-situ crosslinkable proppant, LocProp™, and expandable proppant based on phase change materials, XOProp™ are available today to enable efficient operations and generate a higher ROI from each well.
Expandable Products
Terves is developing a family of Expandable Materials that expand when exposed to an external stimulus. Our first product, Exalon™, is an expanding structural polymer that is available in pumpable form for in-situ fracture initiation, to counteract embedment and widen fine fractures in clay-containing (softer) formations, and also for actuating tools such as self-deploying centralizers.
Other Product Platforms
We are a research-based product-focused organization that develops disruptive new products. Terves is currently in the final stages of development for High-Energy Density Capacitors that have demonstrated 5X higher energy density than any known capacitors, and net-shaped nanocomposite cermets that represent the “holy grail” of materials – the hardness and strength of ceramics with the toughness of steel.
